The Municipality of Thames Centre Emergency Services is currently accepting applications for the position of volunteer firefighter / Dorchester Station.
Firefighting is an extremely rewarding profession. Successful candidates will be expected to function in a highly physical and mentally demanding environment with a key commitment to training, continued self development, and maintenance of acquired skills. Our core services include fire prevention and inspection services, public education services, response to all fire types, emergency medical response, vehicle collisions and extrications, ice & water rescue, farm, home & industrial accidents, public hazards, hazardous material incidents, search & rescue.
Our entire team proudly serves our community 24/7. We recommend applicants, prior to submitting, should make a thorough self-assessment recognizing several key components before applying. Factors include current family or employment commitments, ability to deal with traumatic incidents including fatalities and our commitment expectations and attendance requirements should be considered.How to Apply
