Part-Time Parks and Facilities Attendant (Student)


Job Description

The Parks and Facilities Attendant (Student) is responsible to aid and assist the Facility Operators, Foreman and Parks and Facilities Supervisor with a variety of maintenance and repair services to Parks, facilities, sports fields and trails.

POSITION TITLE: Part-Time Parks and Facilities Attendant (Student)

REPORTS TO: Parks and Facilities Supervisor


  • Working directly with the public
  • Maintaining Municipal Facilities, sports fields and parklands
  • Parks maintenance, including grass cutting, weed whacking, picking up of litter and changing garbage
  • Maintaining sports fields, including set up and takedown of baseball diamonds and soccer fields
  • Maintaining Municipal Cemeteries
Education RequirementNot Applicable Experience Requirement
  • Knowledge of arenas and basic operational functions
  • Basic equipment knowledge and experience (zero-turn lawn mowers, weed whackers and blowers)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist with the public
  • Ability to perform physical work
  • Ability to follow instructions and operate various related cleaning equipment
  • Arena, event-related, and customer service experience would be an asset
  • Current First Aid / CPR would be an asset
  • G2 License
