Middlesex County has numerous support programs for young business starters

MiddlesexCounty is a great place to own and operate a business at any age. Unique to Oxford County are the many supports available to young entrepreneurs.

Summer Company

The London Small Business Centre offers the Summer Company Program to youth ages 15 to 29 wishing to run a summer business. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in high school or a post-secondary institution and returning to school after the summer. Participants can receive up to $3000 in startup grants. Starter Company Program

The London Small BUsiness Centre also delivers the Starter Company Program. The Starter Company program is available to youth ages 18 to 29 who want to start or expand their business. To be eligible you must not be a student in school. The program provides business training, mentorship and grants up to $5000 to start or expand your current business. Futurpreneur Canada

Futurpreneur Canada, formally the Canadian Youth Business Foundation, offers a range of online resources and mentorship supports. The Start Up Program is available to young entrepreneurs ages 18 to 39 and offers low interest business loans up to $45,000 with an approved business plan and credit check.
